National Refining Co.; born, Cleveland, Oct. 2, 1864; son of Nathan and Barbara Kirch Fretter; educated in Cleveland public schools; married, Cleveland, Margaret Huburt; one child; first employed by Marsh & Howard Chemical Co., Root & McBride Co., and L. S. & M. R. R.; entered oil business about 1885; with the National Refining Co. twenty-five years, past two years as vice pres., previously sec ‘y; member National Petroleum Assn, Union and Country Clubs; vice pres. Western Petroleum Refiners’ Ass’n.
