Sent to Camp Jackson, S. C. Transferred to Camp Sevier, S. C., to Camp Pike, Ark., to Camp McArthur, Texas, to Camp Perry, Okla. Promoted to rank of Corpl. Oct. 1, 1917; Corpl. to Sergt. Nov. 1, 1917; Sergt. to 2nd Lt. June 1, 1918. Was first assigned to 81st Div. Mustered out at Camp McArthur, Waco, Texas, Dec. 18, 1918.
