Private, 323rd Inf., Co. B, 81st Div. Born in Moore County, Aug. 3, 1885; the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Bailey. Entered the service May 28, 1918, at Carthage, N.C. Was sent to Camp Jackson, S. C., and from there to Camp Sevier, S. C. Transferred to Camp Mills, N. Y. Sailed for Liverpool, Eng., Aug. 11, 1918. Sent to Field Base Hospital No. 22. Mustered out at Camp Mills, N. Y., April 8, 1919.
