Oglethorpe, Ga. Transferred to Camp McClellan, Ala. Sailed for Cherbourg, France, July 12, 1918. Promoted to rank of Sergt. May 15, 1917. Fought at Alsace Front, Meuse-Argonne. Gassed at Haumont Oct. 24, 1918. Sent to Base Hospital No. 18. Arrived in USA March 6, 1919, at Hoboken, N. J., through Camp Merritt, N. J. Mustered out at Camp Meade, Md., March 29, 1919.
