The career of James Dodwell, pioneer harnessmaker of Butler County and a well known resident of the county seat, El Dorado, is one considerably apart from the ordinary and of unusual interest. In its unfolding it had invaded various fields of endeavor and the occupations of war and peace, and through it Mr. Dodwell had worked out an admirable destiny and had established his right to be numbered among the self-made men who have attained success in spite of the most discouraging circumstances. La Grande, Oregon Florence E. Lambert Florence E. Lambert, of Corinth, Miss., died Sept. 15 after a battle with cancer. Mrs. Lambert, know to most as “Momo,” was born in Counce, Tenn., in 1921 and was a resident of La Grande from 1956 to 2002. She spent most of her time loving her 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She had a gift of relating to all children and was well known for her southern cooking. Survivors include her husband of more than 62 years, Walter Lambert of Corinth, and her seven children, Wilma Lasher of Klamath Falls, Ramona Marie Culver and Roger (Rocky) Lambert of Corinth, Herschel Lambert of Kennewick, Wash., Doris Zamoni of Humble, Texas, Phillip Lambert of Guys, Tenn., and Vernon Lambert of La Grande.
