Peter Hunot, fell dead this afternoon [May 1, 1900] at 2:30 o’clock in the store of Rudolph Martin. He lives in Alkali Canyon, 12 miles from Pendleton, and leaves a wife and three children. Hunot has lived in this county for 18 years, coming here from his native land, France.
About a year ago, he was injured in a runaway and never recovered from the effects. Coroner Folsom took charge of the remains.
Peter was born on September 29, 1850. He married Eugenia Decravel on June 15, 1890 in Umatilla Co., Pendleton, OR. Interment at Olney Cemetery.
