Sergt., 9th F. A., 11th Btry. Born in Edgecombe County; the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Lee Spragins. Husband of Sadie Bagley Spragins. Entered the service Aug. 26, 1918, at Tarboro, N.C. Was sent to Camp Jackson, S. C., and then to Camp Hill, Va. Character excellent and services very satisfactory. Highly commended by commanding officer, Lt. Frederick A. Pope. Mustered out at Camp Jackson, S. C., March 3, 1919.
