Nov. 26, 1824, in Hartland, Vt., dau. of Amos and Polly (Mace) Penniman. For some years they res. on the old homestead in Cornish and then rem. to East Plainfield. He d. July 27. 1909. Children:

i. LUCIEN EDMUND, b. Dec. 24, 1851; m. Aug. 2, 1874, Clara Tolbot.
ii. CARLOS EUGENE, b. Nov. 16. 1853; d. March 1, 1855.
iii. ELSIE VELONA, b. July 20, 1855; m. Oct. 9, 1875, Chas. H. Stickney, in Springfield, Vt., where they res. One child.
iv. WESLEY LUEY, b. Dec. 16. 1858; m. March 27, 1879, Sarah Kenniston.
v. ETWELL ELMER, b. July 16, 1860; m. Feb. 28, 1884, Susan Morgan.
vi. MINNIE AMELIA, b. April 1. 1862; In. May 20, 1889, John J. Poole.
vii. MYRA ALICE, b. April 1, 1862; m. Jan. 27, 1883, George H. Clayton. She d. Aug. 30, 1897.
viii. CLARENCE C., b. April 3, 1867; m. July 3, 1889, Agnes Hadley of Plainfield.
ix. LURETTA L., b. Oct. 12, 1869; m. June 8, 1892, Exom Eaton, East Plainfield.
