Wallowa, Wallowa County, Oregon

Wallowa resident, Margaret E. Kirkeby, 80, of Wallowa, died Sept. 2, 1992, at her home in Wallowa.

She was born Dec. 11, 1911, at Onamia, Minn., the daughter of Albin and Florence (McAloney) Petrin.

In 1956, she married Orrin G. Kirkeby in Onamia.

Mrs. Kirkeby was an active and loyal member of the Catholic Church in Wallowa.

She is survived by her husband Orrin of Wallowa; cousin Helen Moore of Bloomington, Minn.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Glenn Kirkeby and Iris Kirkeby of Taylor, Texas; brother-in-law Leo Maiers of Wimberley, Texas; niece and nephew, Rebecca Keller and Steven Kirkeby of La Grande.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Leland Petrin and one sister, Marion Maiers.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the Bramlet Cemetery in Wallowa. Memorials in her memory may be made to the charity of choice in care of the Bollman Funeral Home, Main at W 3rd in Enterprise.
