These parents had seven children, five of whom are now living. Our subject, the fourth child, began business for himself at the age of twenty-six years. He keeps a general stock of groceries, dry goods, nails, etc. He owns a house and lot in Kirkmansville, including store and grounds. By his fair dealing and courteous manner he has built up a large and increasing business. He has been very successful and has an encouraging outlook. He was married in 1875, to Miss May B.
