Biographical Sketch of Louis Hunefield

Louis Hunefield, proprietor of blacksmith and plow works, was born n the province of Lippe Detmold, Germany, in 1829; came to the U.S. in 1849, and located at St. Louis, Mo., where he worked at his trade one and one-half years, then moved to Dodge County, Wis., where he worked at his trade nearly twenty-two years. He came to Sac County in 1872, and engaged in farming for a year and a half; then sold part of his farm; retaining eighty acres, and moved to Sac City. He was in the employ of Mr. Fishman for about eight years, then purchased the business. He employs three men and does a large business.
