Cook, 105th Engineers, Co. C, 30th Div. Born in Guilford County; the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Sanford. Entered the service at Greensboro, N.C., Sept. 20, 1917. Was sent to Camp Sevier, S. C., and sailed for France Aug. 27, 1918. Received shell wound at St. Mihiel. Returned to USA Oct. 21, 1919.
