In the 1980’s a series of newsletters were published four times a year by Seneca County NY featuring historical information concerning Seneca county and her past residents. The current historian for Seneca County placed these online using PDF files. One of the main features of each edition were biographical sketches of early settlers of Seneca



Biography of Chauncey Ward Bangs

The subject of this sketch, a son of Benjamin and Deborah (Smith) Bangs, was born at Stanstead, Lower Canada, now the Province of Quebec, January 19, 1814. His father was a native of Massachuesetts, his mother of New Hampshire. They moved to Canada in 1812. When Chauncey was about four years old the family removed

Edmund Todd7, (Aden6, Edmund5, Christopher4, Samuel3, Samuel2, Christopher1) married and lived in Meriden, Conn. Children: 1398. Sarah Ann, m. (???)Burnham. Issue: had two or three sons who were manufacturers of brick and had a kiln near New Britian, Conn. Afterwards they went west. Residence unknown. 1399. Ellen, m.
