Hibbard Creek Cemetery

The following data is extracted from Hibbard Creek Cemetery, Baker County, Oregon Cemetery Collection.

Location of the Hibbard Creek Cemetery is about two miles south of the town of Home. It is situated on a bench approximately one-eighth mile north of the site of the Hibbard Creek school on the Snake River Road.

This cemetery is also known as the Home Cemetery. It is mostly neglected but was fenced a few years ago.

Known burials in this cemetery are as listed below. In addition, there are several other graves in the Wann plot and in the Morgan plot but they cannot be identified.

Brooks, Francis b 30 Nov. 1886; d 28 Feb 1895; son of Francis Morgan.

Darby, Mary H. b 1841; d Sep 1934.

Evans, Bessie M. b 1 Feb. 1896; d 8 Aug. 1908; daughter of George T. & Emma.

Evans, George T. b 9 aug 1853; d 8 Aug 1908; drowned in Snake River with daughter and son.

Evans, Georgie W. b 13 Mar. 1894; d 8 Aug 1908; son of George T. & Emma.

Huffman, Charles b 30 Sep 1838; d 8 Sep 1885.

Huffman, George b 13 Oct 1835; d 15 Oct. 1887

Huffman, Melissa b 22 Oct 1809; d 6 Dec 1882

Huffman, Thomas d 11 Sep 1918; aged 70 yrs. 20 days.
