The following data is extracted from Biographies of the Cherokee Indians.
(See Ross and Holland).-Florence Ella, daughter of Daniel L. and Ruth Caroline (Holland) Ross was born November 30, 1879. Educated in the Cherokee Public Schools, Female Seminary and North Eastern State Normal. Married at Parsons, Kansas, February 6, 1910, Charles Earl, son of John W. and Nancy E. Woodward, born July 15, 1880 in Dent County, Missouri. Educated in Salem High School and Draughon's Business College.
Mr. Woodward taught school four years before their marriage and Mrs. Woodward taught ten years. Re was postmaster at Vera under President Wilson. Ward.-(See Ward and Grant).-George De Shields Ward, born June 4, 1847 on Beatties Prairie, Delaware District. He belonged to Captain C. C. Waters' Company, Second Cherokee Mounted Volunteers. He married December 26, 1869, Eliza F. Phillips, born December 10, 1850 in Benton county, Arkansas. They are the parents of Lela Almer, born December 18, 1871; James Osman, born March 31, 1873; John Elmer, born December -7, 1876 and Ethelynn Map Ward, born May 20, 1887.
