The following data is extracted from The Descendants of Rufus Edwards and Ruth (Huestis) Edwards.
Robert1Huestis, d. soon after the birth of his only child, David. Probably lived in Dutchess County, N. Y.
After the death of her husband, in 1867, Ruth Huestis Edwards made her home with her oldest daughter, Margaret (Edwards) Johnson, of Darlington, Wis. Her beautiful handiwork, quilting, is still in the possession of her grandchildren—as is also her “open-end” thimble, and her little brown-leather “snuff-box”. She was a member of the M. E. Church.
