While we know our northern friends may not feel it, in the South, Spring is here. So we thought we'd share a few of our gardening sites appropriate for this time of the year. Along with gardening, there's grilling, and getting ready to diet so that you can fit back into that bathing suit this summer!

About Access Genealogy

Once upon a time about 4 years ago, I submitted some information to SurnameWeb, information that was very important to me.  In my opinion Dennis was very slow in getting this information posted on the site. I wrote and asked him a couple times, why?  Unless you have received an email from Dennis, you won't understand his answer "if I thought I could do better, just let him know".  Now, his email didn't come right out and say that, but if you read around the flowery words, you got that impression.  Never one to walk away from a challenge, I wrote back and said yes I could. That was to become the beginnings of AccessGenealogy.

Our first real adventure into web site building together, came with the Discover

Genealogy WebRing, a site I suggested, and he said build them, and they will come!!  When he said that I don't think he had any idea just how little I knew about building web pages. Dennis then suggested the state pages that became AccessGenealogy.  Between the two of us we suggested, built, and suggested some more and we are still suggesting and building.
Both of us have always had an avid interest in books, Dennis first suggested we purchase some old books and put them on line for others to read.  He created a real monster with this idea, our walls are lined with bookshelves, our computer areas have books stacks, the floor and now we even have them in storage!!  Some day, we tell each other we will have them all on line, however, that will never happen if we don't stop buying!

Years and states separate this joint effort but with computer neither of those matter.

See how young he started!
