Helen Mary Margarete Fisher Morin, 95. passed away at the home of her daughter, Vivian, in Pleasant View, Utah in July, 2003.

Helen was born September 16,1907, in Edwardsville, Kansas to Mary Maiden and Charles 0. Fisher. Helen’s family moved to the North Powder/Wolf Creek area in 1914 where she received her education. In 1981, she moved to Utah to live with her daughter Vivian and family.

She married Pierce Phillip Morin on July 3, 1926, in Baker City. Their marriage was solemnized in 1954 in the Idaho Falls Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Helen was a loving, caring mother, wife, sister, daughter and grandmother. She was an immaculate homemaker and a wonderful cook. She was also a beautiful seamstress and donated several handcrafted baby blankets to Primary Children’s Hospital.

Helen played the piano by ear and had a lovely soprano voice. She was active in many organizations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the PTA, Toastmistress and Garden Clubs in Baker and Lake Counties in Oregon.

She is survived by her children Gerald (Margie) Morin. Whittier Calif., Roger (Robin) Morin LaGrande, Vivian (Eldon) Haag, Pleasant View, Utah, Virginia Morin, Ontario, Oregon. Eleven grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Also surviving are her brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted Morin. Gladys Ward and Nellie Brannock all of Baker City, Claude (Elaine) Morin, Ogden, Utah and several nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Harold, Herbert, and Haskell Fisher, Hilda Case. and Hester Peavy.

Burial took place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Baker City, Wednesday, August 6, 2003.
Cremation was under the direction of Aaron’s Mortuary and Crematory.
