    The cemetery began in 1845. Graves were marked with petrified wood, glass, rocks, etc. Time and the elements destroyed many grave markers and the graves were lost. Their loved ones aged and died, too. Therefore, we have a list of lost graves.

  1. Paula it seems the photo project link isnt working. I do photos for the Texas Gravestone Photo Project @ Txgravestone.org. I have done several of the cemeteries in Franklin County. If there is a way to get the link working i could add what i have so far. I visit MtVernon often as i have family thrre. Let me know if I can be of any help.
