Burroughs, S.B. – Obituary

Cove, Union County, Oregon The death of S.B. Burroughs occurred in this city Monday night, December 26, 1904. Deceased was 71 years and 8 months old and had been suffering poor health for several months. Mr. Burroughs was a pioneer resident of Union county, having settled in Cove in 1864 where he resided until 1892 when he moved to Shaw Creek. In 1893, deceased moved to this city and in connection with his nephew, H.D. Spencer, engaged in the planing mill business but disposed of his interests in that institution several years since and had been manufacturing door and window frames until his health failed. Deceased was of a jovial disposition and had many friends in this city, who with his loving wife are left to mourn his loss.
