Robert Wright Dies at Hospital
Robert Burns Wright, of Joseph, who had been ill eleven months, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 1961 at Wallowa Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for four months.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Bollman Chapel with Rev. James E. Jones officiating. Mrs. Donald Swart will be organist and Mrs. Orval McArtor will be soloist. Internment will be in the Prairie Creek cemetery.
The deceased was the son of Roberta and Zula Wright and was born January 10, 1896 in Colville, Wash. He had lived in Wallowa County for the past 62 years and was a ditch walker by occupation. On September 12, 1948 he was married to Agnes E. Williamson who survives him.
Other survivors include two stepsons, Wayne and Dallas Williamson, of Joseph; a sister, Mrs. Wanna Drake, of Joseph; and five grandchildren.
