Rennie, Darlene Curtis Snyder Mrs. – Obituary

Baker County, Oregon Obituaries

Darlene Snyder Rennie, 68, of Haines, died Oct. 17, 2007, at her home.

No public service is planned at this time.

She was born on Oct. 1, 1939, at Albany to Ira and Alberta Curtis. She spent her childhood at Albany.

She married Cecil Leroy Snyder in 1957. They had three children: Mike, Kelli and Rick. Her husband died earlier.

Darlene returned to school where she earned a degree in nursing. She had a long career as a labor and delivery nurse bringing many children into the world, including her first grandchildren.

Darlene was involved in many activities and hobbies. Her Christian faith was most important to her and she donated countless hours of service to the church.

A love of crafts kept her busy and she had a talent for knitting, crocheting, sewing and cooking. She was also part of the Neighborhood Watch and, as an avid reader, she was a frequent visitor to the library.

Her favorite moments through the years were the time spent with family. She loved to have all of her children and grandchildren around, and we will all miss her wit and wisdom, her family said.

Survivors include her son, Mike, and Diane Snyder of Baker City, and their children, Amanda and Ethan; her daughter, Kellie, and Norm Ross of Sunset, Utah, and their children, Steven and Evan; and a son, Rick Snyder, and Rene Hellburg of Astoria; her sister, Phyllis Roler of Bend; and a brother, Jack Curtis of Bend; countless other relatives and friends; and her Aussie companions, Molly and Annie.
