Funeral services for Mary Marie Hug, 68, of Elgin will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Summerville Chapel. William E. Miller, pastor of the Elgin Christian Church will officiate, and burial will be in Summerville Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Dempsey’s Funeral chapel.
Mrs. Hug died at a local nursing home Monday. She was born Nov. 1, 1903, in Summerville, and has been a lifetime resident of the Grande Ronde Valley. She was a member of the Elgin Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Hug on Sept. 22, 1945.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Daphene Tucker, Anderson, Cal., and Mrs. Arleta Burton, Eugene; a twin sister Mrs. Margaret McDaniel, Elgin; a brother Harley McDonald, Summerville; four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
