Clarence Alfred Dunn Sr., 83, of Baker City died Nov. 13, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Care Center.

At his request, there will be no services.

Clarence was born on Sept. 13, 1923, at Baker City to Adelbert James and Florence Adel Dolittle Dunn. He was raised and educated at Baker City, except for his sophomore year when he went to live with his sister at Jerome, Idaho.

Clarence joined the U.S. Army in 1943 and was a World War II veteran.

After his service in the military, Clarence returned to Baker City and went to work at the Ellingson Lumber Co. as a heavy machinery operator. He retired from the mill in the 1980s.

Clarence met his wife, Isabel Lee Gawith, at Baker City; the couple were married July 10, 1973, at Winnemucca, Nev.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Isabel Dunn of Baker City; children, Alfred Dunn of Troutdale, Steven Dunn of Ketchikan, Alaska, and Candi Duncan of Baker City; stepchildren, Roxana Williams of Parkland, Wash., and Calvin R. Williams of Gresham; three half- sisters; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
