Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon
Many friends paid last tribute to Joseph A. Berland at his funeral held Thursday afternoon in the Booth chapel. Services of the Christian Science Church were conducted by Mrs. Floyd Fletcher, and burial was in Enterprise cemetery. Pall bearers, schoolboy friends of Mr. Berland were Ray Hockett, Dave Wagner, William Graves, Marvin Butner, Tom Lee and Robert L. Forsythe.
Among those who came for the funeral from away were Mrs. Jennie Quick and son, Rubert, and Truman T. Day of Portland, and Clifford Hart came with them. Robert Forsythe and wife came from Goldendale, Washington.
