|Earl R James||October 18, 1918||NC Pvt US Inf 30 Div. An American flag is put there by the Veterans. He was just a young man in his twenties when he died on the battle field. The treaty for the end of WW I was being signed. He lit a cigarette in the trench and was shot and killed by the enemy that night. Per info by family 3.9.02||Pitt County, NC|
