Corpl., Co. L, 120th Regt., Inf., 30th Div.; of Tyrrell County; son of E. H. and Mrs. Eunice Spruell. Entered service Sept. 18, 1917, at Columbia, S. C. Sent to Camp Jackson, transferred to Camp Sevier. Sailed for France. Fought at Hindenburg Line. Returned to USA, Charleston, S. C., April 13, 1919. Mustered out at Camp Jackson April 17, 1919.
