4. NATHANIEL3 BARTLETT (Nathaniel2. Samuel1) was b. April 16, 1791; m. March 5. 1816, Sarah Johnson of Cornish, dau. of Jesse and Sarah (Harrington) Johnson, b. Dec. 15, 1793. and d. Sept. 13. 1864. He d. March 14, 1853. Children, all b. in Cornish:

i. NATHANIEL J., b. Nov. 24, 1816; d. Sept. 3, 1852, aged 36, an invalid.
9. ii. SYLVESTER N., b. June 3, 1819.
iii. SARAH MARIA, b. Aug. 27, 1821: m. May 20, 1846, George D. Kenyon. Two children. (See Heaven.) She d. Oct. 8, 186.5.
iv. JAMES FITCH, b. Dec. 15, 1823; m. April 5, 1846, Caroline M. Hart, a sister of the wife of Sylvester N. Five children. Lived in Cal. He d. in Feb., 1879, she a few years after. A son, Nathaniel J., d. in town. April 2, 1850.
v. ELIZA EMELINE, b. Jan. 8, 1826; m. first, May 20, I846, Isaac C. Kenyon of Cornish. One child, Clarence N. (See Kenyon.) She d. Oct. 10, 1895. After Mr. Kenyon’s death. Aug. 15, 1857, she m. second, -, 1860, Alpheus Baldwin; no issue.
vi. CHARLES CARROLL, b. July 4, 1829; m. Nov. 23, 1858, Harriet L. Nichols; had two sons; enlisted in the Civil War in 7th Regt. N. H. Vols. (See Military.)
10. vii.EDWIN PHILANDER, b. Jan. 13, 1832.
viii. PHEBE ELLEN, b. Aug. 23. 1834; m. March 22, 1854, Henry C. Freeman then of Cornish. Six children. (See Freeman.) She has lived in Claremont since Feb., 1866.
ix. WILLIAM PAYSON, b. March 21, 1838; m. Feb. 8, 1860, Lidona Flower. Two sons. All living in Ind.
