Joshua Atwood

1. JOSHUA ATWOOD of Bradford, Mass., the son of John and Hannah Atwood, was b. Dec. 3, 1724. he was a blacksmith by trade. He m. in 1744, Mehitable Seva, b. in Bradford Feb. 1, 1727. They removed from Bradford to Pelham, N. H. (time not known), and became the parents of seventeen children. He d. July 8, 1809, aged 85 years. His wife d. March 11, 1805, aged 78. They both d. in Pelham. Of this family two settled in Cornish: William who came about 1811, and Joshua, Jr., a few years earlier. These spent the remainder of their lives in Cornish, and both, with their wives, lie buried in the cemetery at the Flat.
