B. B. Allender, an old citizen of this county, died at his home near the southeast corner of Trenton township on last Thursday evening [June 22, 1882]. He was a man of sterling integrity, respected and esteemed by all who knew him and will be sadly missed in the neighborhood where he lived.
The funeral was held on Friday afternoon. [Benjamin married Mary Guyton in 1837 and Lydia Zentmyers in 1874. Interment Richwoods North Cemetery.]
