Dies Saturday Funeral July 27
Thomas U. Kasinger passed away at the Grande Ronde hospital Saturday evening after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at the Summerville chapel Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock with the Snodgrass and Zimmerman mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Kasinger has been a resident of the valley for the last 26 years and was born in Illinois, July 1,1864. He was 73 years and 22 days of age at his death.
He was married to Sophronia Caroline Hartle,May 12, 1889 and is survived by his widow, eight children, a number of grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His children are Mrs. [Lillie] J. W.. Fehr, Wooland, Wash.; Floy Davis, San Francisco; Mrs. [Hattie] W. T. Bell, Hood River; Lyman Roy Kasinger, The Dalles; Linus Jackson Kasinger, San Francisco; Mrs. {Bessie] V. A. Ruckman, Oakland, Cal.; Mrs. [Hester] Keith Glenn, Summerville, and Mrs. [Lola] R. D. Wright, San Francisco.
