William Kirby “Bill” Reichenbach, 42, of North Bend, a former Baker City resident, died Nov. 9, 2004, at Coos Bay.
There will be a private memorial service. Cremation was by Ocean View Memory Gardens Crematory at Coos Bay.
Bill was born on May 16, 1962, in California to Arthur and Pamela Etter Reichenbach. He spent most of his childhood in the Applegate Valley were he was “an accident waiting to happen” because he was always adventurous and prone to now-comical injuries. He was a 1980 Ashland High School graduate.
In his life he had many adventures. They led him to Baker City where he became known as “Chef Bill” at the Geiser Grand Hotel. He was a kind and loving person who was always willing to help.
He spent the last two years caring for his mother, Pam, and stepfather, Dennis, at North Bend. He loved fishing, golfing, cooking and four-wheeling. He was a rabid fan of the San Francisco 49ers, loved Stephen King’s “Dark Tower” series, was a primo “dream flyer” and had a wonderfully unique, warped sense of humor that kept his family and friends laughing. They will cherish his memory always.
Survivors include his father, Art Reichenbach and his wife, Barb, of LaHabra, Calif.; his mother, Pamela Gandt, and her husband, Dennis, of North Bend; brother, Al Reichenbach and his wife, Deann, of Yreka, Calif.; sisters, Carolyn George and her husband, Phillip, of Spokane, Wash., and Ariel Pavlak and her husband, John, of Eugene; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. The North Bend Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
