This database contains both volumes of a two-volume series titled Genealogical and Personal History of Fayette County, Pennsylvania. This work contains a great amount of genealogical information and other facts about notable individuals from Fayette County. There were three main purposes for creating this work. The first was to concisely present the history of the families of Fayette County from Colonial times. The second was to preserve the history of the county's prominent people, and the third was to present the relationship between the prominent families from all times to the growth, prosperity, and influence of the county.
