Taber, Leavon Ida Hutchinson Mrs. – Obituary

Celebration of the life of Leavon Ida Hutchinson Taber was held in Bellevue, Wash .

She was born April 14, 1910, In North Powder, the daughter of Albert and Annie Hutchinson.

Along with her siblings, Leavon grew up on a ranch near North Powder, moving to Bellevue in 1924. She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1928 and received her degree in nursing from Seattle General Hospital in 1932.

She joined the army in 1940 as a nurse stationed in Fort Ord, Calif. Leavon met Andrew Taber at Fort Ord and they were married when she returned to Bellevue.

Andrew and Leavon lost their son, Robert, in an accident in 1958.

Her son, Andy Taber and wife, Noelle, and two grandsons, brother Delbert and sisters Edith Gilbert, Veda Winningham, Hazel Miller and Helen Upahl survive her.
