Nettie Staples Olin, 93, a former Wenatchee and Entiat resident, died in Clarkston on Friday [January 5, 1979]. Mrs. Olin was born in Colfax, Wis., on October 9, 1885. She married John Boyd Olin on June 10, 1903, there. In the fall of 1904, the family came to Wenatchee.
In January 1927, they moved to Entiat where they operated a fruit orchard. Mr. Olin preceded her in death September 28, 1945. In July 1973,
Mrs. Olin moved to Clarkston. She attended the Friend’s Church at Entiat, was a 40 year member and past noble grand of Reliance Rebekah Lodge, Entiat.
Surviving are a son, L. Earl, Renton; two daughters, Mrs. Roy E. (Mae) Loeffelbein, Clarkston, and Mrs. Albert (Edna) Haase, Walla Walla; 14 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Ida Hansen, and a son, John S. Olin, preceded her in death. [Interment in Wenatchee Cemetery]
