Hon. Willis George Buxton, a well-known lawyer of Boscawen and a member of the New Hampshire Senate, was born in Henniker, N.H., August 22, 1856, son of Daniel M. and Abbie A. (Whitaker) Buxton. His father was a native of Henniker; and his mother was born in Deering, N.H. His paternal ancestors came from Massachusetts.
Rathan Page Buxton, a wellknown resident and a prominent agriculturist of Henniker, was born March 5, 1829, on the farm and in the house where he now lives, son of Daniel and Abigail (Page) Buxton. He comes of substantial New England stock. His grandparents, David and Ruth (Peasley) Buxton, came to Henniker from Newton, Mass.,
