Note: The above N.K. Taylor was the son of General Nathaniel Taylor, and is an albino. He was very much addicted to drink. Never married. Was a very bright man, and had it not have been for intoxicants he would have made very great reputation as a lawyer.-F.D. Love,

        My dear Sir: News cheering---All night. Longstreet in the right place. I hope to eat watermelons with you this year at your own house. If you want the matter carried out, send down your friend. I shall be pleased to form his acquaintance, and to serve you. Wishing you and family much happiness, I am, hastily as ever.

Note: This is a son of John Bell Love, who was a son of Robert Love, the elder, a Colonel in the Confederate Army, and at that time was stationed at Carter's Depot, guarding the Railroad Bridge at that place, to prevent the southward movement of the Federal forces-F.D. Love,
