McIntosh, Henry Payne; banker; born, Cleveland, Oct. 27, 1846; son of Alexander and Agnes Nicol McIntosh; educated, Cleveland public schools; married, Jan. 19, 1871, Olive Manfull; issue, three sons and three daughters: 1860 to 1868, employ of the Cleveland & Erie R. R. Co., in telegraph department; chief operator at time of resignation; 1868, bookkeeper for E. Teeters & Sons, hankers. Alliance. O.; also with Alliance & Lake Erie R. R. Co., as sec'y, spending about twelve years in Alliance; 1876, returned to Cleveland. to assume charge of the business interests of Hon. Henry B. Payne; 1901, resigned, to become pres. of The Guardian Savings & Trust Co.; pres. of the following. Cleveland & Eastern Traction Co.. Cleveland, Youngstown & Eastern R. R. Co., Vulcan Steamship Co.. treas. Standard Tool Co., Standard Welding Co.; director Cleveland Railway Co., Buffalo Steamship Co.; chairman of the board of directors, Chicago. Lake Shore & South Bend R. R. Co., First National Bank. Hydraulic Pressed Steel Co., International Banking Corporation of New York; member Al Koran Temple, N. M. S., Iris Lodge No. 229, F. & A. M., Cleveland Chapter No. 148, R. A. M., Holyrood Commandery, No. 32, of which he is Past Em. Commander; also Past Rt. Em. Grand Commander of the State of Ohio; Elidah Lodge of Perfection, Bahurim Council P. J., Ariel Chapter, Rose Croix, H. R. D. M., Lake Erie Consistory, S. P. R. S.; 32nd°, Supreme Council Sovereign Grand Inspectors, General, 33rd and last degree of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction of the U. S. of America; member Athletic, Country, Euclid, East End Tennis, and Union Clubs.
