The following data is extracted from The Book of Clevelanders, A Biographical Dictionary of Living Men of the City of Cleveland, Burrows Book Company, 1914.
Dall, William; contractor; born, Cleveland, Nov. 25, 1876; son of William and Alice Bennett Dail; educated in common schools and a University course; married, Cincinnati, June 1, 1899, Miss Florence Wing; worked three years for U. F. Schweinfurth, architect; then went to Buffalo and learned the bricklaying trade; worked on the Erie County Savings Bank; after a year returned to Cleveland and became associated with his father in the contracting business, under firm name of William Dail & Son, con-tractors, for the new Court House, the Union Club, The Citizens Bank, the Havlin Hotel and Textile Bldg., Cincinnati, Zanesville, O., post office, Taylor Arcade and the First National Bank; member Chamber of Commerce, Builders Exchange, Masons, Elks, and Athletic Club.
