1756 Burials

The following data is extracted from Church Record of Old Ebenezer Church, Effingham County, Georgia.

John Christopher Bunz died Jan. 17, 1756, and was buried on the 18th, the 2 Sunday after Epiphany.

Barbara Heinle died March 22, 1756 of a consumptive disease at the age of 47 years.

Christian Mackh, a child of 6 week, died March 25, 1756, and received Christian burial the same day.

George Rahn, a child of 3 years and something over a month old, died March 26, 1756, and was buried the next day, the 27th.

John Martin Rahn, a child of 8 days, died April 16, 1756, and was buried on the 18th, the first Easterday.

Margaret Frank died April 22, 1756 of epilepsy. She was almost 10 months old.

John Caspar Weber died April 15, 1756. He lived only 8 days.

Jacob Hueber died June 25, 1756 in Bethany, of a consumptive disease at the age of 54 years, and was buried the next day.

Henriette, the little daughter of John Christopher Bornemann and his wife Caroline Magdalene, died on a journey from Halifax to Ebenezer, and was buried there Sept. 25, 1756.

William McDanell also died about this time.

Peter Kohleisen died in Ebenezer Oct. 6, 1756 of a protracted disease, and was buried on the 7th.

Louisa Margaret Greim died Oct. 10, 1756 of a consumptive disease in Ebenezer, and received Christian burial on the 11th with a funeral sermon.

John Michael Fezer, a child of 14 months, died on the night between Oct. 18 and 19 and was buried on the 19th, 1756.

Susanna, daughter of James Waston of Mount Pleasant, died at Ebenezer, Oct. 20, 1756 at the age of 9 months.

Elizabeth Waston of Mount Pleasant, age 19 years, died Oct. 27th in Ebenezer, and was buried the next day.

Fredericka Mary Schubdrein, age 1 year and 10 1/2 months, died Oct. 29th, 1756, and was buried the next day.

Frederick Fincke, a child of almost two years, died Nov. 5, 1756 and received Christian burial on the 6th.

Hannah Elizabeth Schneider, a child of 3 years, died Nov. 7, 1756, and was buried on the 8th.

John Honold died Nov. 22, 1756, and was buried on the 23rd in the Plantation cemetery.

John Bernhard Geiger, a child of about 6 years, died Nov. 30, 1756, and was buried the next day in the cemetery of Zion Church.

George Eigel died Dec. 7, 1756 of a fever at the age of 56 years, and was buried on the 8th in Zions Church cemetery.

Up to this point the deceased were reported to England on Dec. 16, 1756.
