1767 Baptisms

The following data is extracted from Church Record of Old Ebenezer Church, Effingham County, Georgia.

Anna Mary, daughter of Gregory Stierle and his wife Mary Rosina, was born in Purysburg, Oct. 20, 1766, and baptized Feb. 2, 1767 in Ebenezer. Sponsors were Pininger and A. M. Winckler.

Elizabeth, daughter of John George Gruber and his wife Elizabeth, was born between Feb. 4-5, 1767, and baptized on the 5th. Sponsors were Christ. Bidenbach and his daughter Catharine Gravenstein, Jacob Mohr jun. and Mrs. M. U. Paulus.

Solomon, son of Lewis Weitman and his wife, was born Feb. 11, 1767 early, and baptized on the same day. Sponsors were Pastor Lemcke and his wife.

Anna Margaret, daughter of Conrad Rahn and his wife, was born Feb. 19, 1767 in the evening, and baptized on the 20th. Sponsors were Joseph Schubtrein and Mary his wife.

Catharine, daughter of John Remshardt and his wife Anna Marg., was born in the night between Feb. 19-20, 1767, and baptized the same day. Sponsors were Samuel Kraus and Judith his wife.

Hannah, daughter of Casper Waldhauer and his wife Agnesia, was born April 1, 1767, and baptized on the 2nd. Sponsors were Mr. J. C. Wertsh and his wife and Mrs. Ewen of Savannah.

On April 2, 1767 Mrs. Taescher gave birth to a stillborn son.

John, son of Casper Heck and his wife Anna, was born April 3, 1767, and baptized the same day. Sponsors were Michler, J. George Buntz and Marg. Kalcher.

Jacob, Zittrauer's Negro boy, was born April 18, 1767, and on the 19th received into the bosom of the Christian Church by baptism.

John Christopher, son of John Martin Rheinlander and his wife Frederica, was born in the night between July 14-15, 1767, and baptized on the 16th. Sponsors were Mr. Treutle, Christopher Kraemer and his wife and Miss Cath. Marg. Boltzius.

Elieser, John Hangleiter's Negro child, was born July 26, 1767, and baptized the 27th. Hangleiter and she were sponsers.

Catherine, daughter of John George Ziegler and his wife, was born Aug. 25, 1767, and baptized the same day. Sponsors were David Steiner, who was represented by Zimmerebener and Anna Margaret Steiner.

Matthew, son of George Fischer and his wife Mary, was born Sept. 6, 1767, and baptized on the 8th. Sponsors were John L. S, Paul Finck and his wife.

Mary, daughter of John Flerl and his wife Hannah Elizabeth, was born in the night before Sept. 19, 1767, and baptized on the same day. Sponsors were John Flerl and Judith Kraus.

Anna Mary, daughter of John George Pechtle and his wife Eva B., was born Sept. 27, 1767, and baptized the 28th. Sponsors were John Michler and his wife and Mrs. Metzcher.

Anna Margaret, daughter of Matth. Bidenbach and his wife, was born Sept. 27, 1767 towards evening, and baptized the 28th. Sponsors were John Hangleiter and his wife and the wife of George G.
