In March, 1908, he became one of the organizers of the firm of Culbertson & Tomm and under this style has since carried on business, handling farm properties and city realty and also city loans. The firm has built up an extensive business, having now a very large clientele, and they have negotiated many of the most important property transfers that have occurred in Muskogee. Moreover, they are owners of the Railway Exchange building, an eight-story structure which is the largest business block in the city. They are also agents for the Flynn-Ames building and many others. They do a large amount of speculative building, erecting homes which they place on the market, and in this manner they have contributed in considerable measure to the improvement of the city. They are likewise members of the Farm Mortgage Bankers Association of Chicago, Illinois.
It was on the 7th of January, 1908, that Mr. Tomm was united in marriage to Miss May Bryant of Chicago, Illinois, and they are parents of one son, Bryant Eugene, born October 24, 1908. Mr. Tomm belongs to the Beta Theta Pi, a college fraternity, and also to the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks. He likewise has membership in the Town & Country Club and is very fond of a game of golf, spending his leisure on the links and taking part in all the golf tournaments which have been played in Muskogee. He enjoys the warm friendship of many and the respect of all and everywhere is spoken of in terms of high regard as a sportsman, as a citizen and as a most progressive business man.
