He at once established offices in Pryor and has since practiced here.
From the beginning he has been unusually prosperous and the success be has attained is due to his own efforts and merits. He has built up an extensive and lucrative patronage and handles much important litigation before the courts.
In Kansas City, Missouri, in July, 1917, occurred the marriage of Mr. Wilkerson to Miss Norma Neff, a daughter of J. W. Neff. The Neffs are an old and representative family of this state, who located at Checotah at an early day. Two children have been born to Mr. and Mrs. Wilkerson: Luke Alton and Neva Marie. The political allegiance of Mr. Wilkerson is given to the Democratic Party, he having firm belief in the principles of that party as factors in good government. He is now acting as chairman of the democratic central committee of Mayes county. As a man interested in the development and improvement of the general welfare he has for many years been a member of the Pryor Commercial Club and he is now serving that body as president.
Fraternally he is identified with the Masons; belonging to Pryor Lodge, No., 100, and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Along the line of his profession he is a member of the State and County Bar Associations. During the World war he served on various committees and was speaker and chairman of the Red Cross drive in Mayes County.
Mr. Wilkerson is well grounded in the principles of law and also possesses the high order of ability, tact, patience and industry that the legal profession demands of those who would become successful lawyers.
