In 1883 he graduated from the medical department of Dartmouth College, and in the following year took a post-graduate course in New York City. He first located in Grantham, where he remained until 1889. In that year he came to Newport, where he has been successful in building up a good practice. He covers a large territory, visiting the sick for fifteen miles through the surrounding country. He is regarded as one of the leading physicians of the county. He supports the Democratic party in politics, is a Mason of Mount Vernon Lodge and of Sullivan Commandery at Claremont, and belongs to the I. O. O. F. at Newport.
