1st Class Private, F. A., 1st Btry., Assigned to 42nd Div. Born in Edgecombe County; the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. O. Saied. Entered the service Aug. 26, 1918, at Tarboro, N.C. Was sent to Camp Jackson, S. C. Sailed for France Oct. 28, 1918. Returned to USA May 21, 1919. Mustered out at Camp Lee, Va., May 26, 1919.
