Enlisted June 2, 1918, at Concord, N.C. Went to Hampton Roads, Va. Transferred to Receiving Ship at Brooklyn, N. Y., and later went aboard the U. S. S. Oklahoma, where he served until discharged on the 9th of August, 1919.
