2nd Lt., F. A. R. C. Artillery, 17th Tr., Battery F, A. C. O. T. S., Camp Taylor. Born in Orange County; the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. McNeer. Entered the service May 26, 1918, at Hillsboro, N.C. Was sent to Camp Jackson and from there to Camp Taylor. Promoted to rank of 2nd Lt. Dec. 18, 1918. Mustered out at Camp Taylor, Dec. 18, 1918.
