The following data is extracted from North Carolina, World War 1, Military Records.

Private, Field Artly. Btry. 20th Brigade, 58th Reg.; of Guilford County; son of M. T. and Mrs. Mable Barker. Volunteered for service Aug. 26, 1918, at High, N.C. Sent to Camp Jackson. Transferred to Camp Hill, Va. Was on board ship Tenadores on Nov. 11, 1918, when Armistice was signed. Volunteered for service at Officers Training Camp, Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., July, 1917. Mustered out at Camp Jackson, Jan. 25, 1919.
