Weston, Ezra
The following data is extracted from Descendants of Edmund Weston.
EZRA (Eliphas, John, Edmund), born July 13, 1743, and always resided in Duxbury. He was one of the most enterprising and wealthy men of the province. Was the largest ship-builder and ship-owner in the country, and was familiarly known as " King Caesar." He married for his first wife Sylvia Church, April 20, 1767. She died May 21, 1768; for his second wife, Oct. 25, 1770, Salmutha Wadsworth; for his third wife, July 4, 1817, Priscilla Vergen. He died Oct. 11, 1824, aged 81. His children were: - SYLVIA CHURCH, b. May 13, 1768; m. Capt. Sylvanus Sampson.
- EZRA, b. Nov. 30, 1771 ; d. Aug. 15, 1842; m. Jerusha Bradford; father of the late Hon. Gershom B. Weston, a prominent public man of South Eastern Massachusetts.
