Chase, Oran Corbett
The following data is extracted from History of the Town of Cornish, Sullivan County, New Hampshire.
16. ORAN CORBETT8 CHASE (Bela6, Solomon5, Samuel4, Daniel3, Moses2, Aquilla1) was b. July 31, 1816; m. first, Nov. 10, 1846, Lucia Curtis Chase of Cornish, dau. of Freeman and Mary (Chase) Chase, b. Aug. 9, 1816. He lived on the homestead six years after m. and then rem. to Eau Claire, Wis., in 1853, where his wife d. April 13, 1858, leaving five children. She was buried in Durand, Wis. He m. second, May 3, 1860, Harriet J. Hadley, b. June 25, 1831, d. Nov. 23, 1890. He was a farmer and d. March 3, 1877, in Eau Claire. Children, first three b. in Cornish, the rest in Eau Claire:
i. CLARA HENRIETTA, b. Oct. 16, 1847: m. Horace S. Hadley. She d. in Feb., 1903.
ii. JANE ELIZABETH, b. Dec. 13, 1849; m. Henry F. Hadley. She d. in March, 1893.
iii. EMILY AUGUSTA, b. June 7, 1851; m. Charles H. Daub. Four children. Live near Eau Claire. His.
iv. EDWARD ALSTIN, b. Nov. 12. 1852: d. March 19, 886. V. FRED HARRISON, b. July 29. 1857; d. Feb. 22. 1858.
By second wife:
vi. BENJAMIN FRANCIS. b. Dec. 31. 1861, and d. same day.
vii. FRANCIS HENRY, b. June 5,1863; d. Nov. 24. 1881.
viii. HARRIET ELIZA, b. June 23. 1865: m. Merrill J. Trott. Six children.
ix. HIRAM WARREN, b. Aug. 25, 1867; m. June 24, 1896, Anna L. Hobbs. Three sons. An insurance agent.
x. DANIEL ALFRED, b. Jan. 6,1870; m. in 1893, Minnie Hanson. Two sons. Live in Milton, Wash.
